Meet Me for Coffee! A "Crazy Lazy" idea

I'm going to be sitting in the foyer at the Royal Festival Hall next Saturday 26th June from 12pm - 1pm, and then every Saturday after that until 21st August and, if the experiment looks even like it's remotely working, I'll keep doing it all the way through the winter.

The idea is to be in the same time at the same place, every week and let people know that I'm there, so they can drop by and talk rubbish over coffee. Talking about stuff over coffee, especially with friends, is one of the things I absolutely like to do best in the whole world.

I was talking to friend of mine recently who was complaining that she'd moved town and didn't know many people. Part of the problem seems to be that most people are always "crazy busy", too busy to sit around and talk about nothing in particular.

The foyer of the Royal Festival Hall seems as good a place as any, in fact possibly better than most, since it's huge, has lots of places to sit, serves not only coffee but food and drinks and is also very central (nearest tubes Waterloo or walk over the river from Embankment).  If you were ever in London for the day, you could probably drop by for half an hour and then still go and do whatever it was that you were planning to do.

So, don't forget.

Every Saturday until the Autumn 12pm

in the Foyer

at the Royal Festival Hall.
